Education and skills development, fair access for unprivileged youth and opening to international environments are part of Tomorrow Foundation strong focus. Tomorrow Foundation is thus pleased to announce the creation of the “Tomorrow Scholarship of College of Foreign languages and Literature” at the Fudan University to support and award excellent students from the Fudan English Debating Society.
The Foundation’s financial aid over 3 years aims to help outstanding students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds for their scholarship and to take part to regional and international debate contests such as the SIDO (Shanghai International Debate Championship).
Regardless of their socio-economical origin, every youth shall have access to schools and curriculums which best correspond to their skills, ambitions and area of interest. Promoting debate is also important for the Foundation since it helps people to share their ideas, encourage the diversity of opinion and stimulate critical thinking. At the request of the Foundation, topics related to Africa’s development and technologies will also be more covered during the debate exercises and competitions.
Fudan University is a national university located in Shanghai and founded in 1905. It is one of the most prestigious and selective university in China, regularly ranked in the top 100 universities in the world and the best university in Shanghai.
